Scanner recommendations

I'm going to buy a new printer/copier/scanner combo. Looking to spend up to $250. Any advise on brands or models? What are the minimum requirements for acceptable card scans?
Thanks,
Mike

Someone once recommended getting a scanner with a "charged coupler" or something like that, as it helps focus at depth. Some scanners will focus on the plastic slab, resulting in the card being blurry. I'm quite happy with my scanner, and will tell you the model when I get home (if you're interested).

I have this all in one:
link to Epson rx580
It prints great photos, copies fine and scans for general use.
I bought this one for Matt for Christmas:
link to Epson 4490
He loves it for scanning slabbed cards. He says it's the best quality scans he has ever got from all the scanners we have had.
Just one word of caution on the all in ones, one of the functions usually brakes before the rest of the machine. Then you have a 2 in 1 or a 1 in 1 LOL.
Epson CX6000
<< <i>That 4490 looks nice. Can you guys post some scans that you made from it? My All in one fizzled out on me and that Epson seems like a great choice. >>
Here you go. I tried to give you scans of shiny and non shiny stuff

I suggest getting the store warrenty when you buy one as the tracks often break, like the tracks in old VHS's use to do. I would not buy the warrenty on almost anything else.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
