New Contest...Win a 1968 PSA Mickey Mantle!!

Seriously! I was a marketing major in college, and although I am now and IT geek, the marketing stuff still lurks in my mind. This is an experiment, if it is successful, I'll do it every month with a similar PSA card. To get this to work, I'll have to market it to more than just the boards here, but I hope someone here wins. This is the first time I have ever tried this, so I would also appreciate any feedback, either positive or negative. Thanks and good luck! Check the link below for details!

The Free PSA Card contest for August is for a PSA 6 1968 Topps Mickey Mantle!!

How to Enter the Free PSA Card contest:

    1. You must be a registered EBay user. If you are not already an EBay user, click on the following link to sign up. It's free!

Click Here to Register with EBay

    2. Click on the link below to view our current cards for sale. The main idea of this contest is to get traffic to our EBay store.
Check out the cards we have for sale. You don't have to buy any, but of course if you see any that you like, we encourage you
to buy it! While looking at our EBay store, you will see a PSA 6 1968 Topps Mickey Mantle for sale. Click on that card, and
in the item description you will find the "August Promotion Code". Write that down. It's easy to find but let us know if you
have any trouble finding it and we'll be glad to help you out. Here is the link to our EBay store.

Click Here to Visit Our EBay Store

    3. Send an email to info@toppsheritage.com with the subject "August Free PSA Card contest", and in the email put the
"August Promotion Code" that you found in the item description, and list your name. This name must match the name that
is on your EBay account. Only one entry per person allowed per drawing. You will receive a monthly email with the Free
PSA Card contest of the month, which you can remove yourself from at anytime by sending us an email at
info@toppsheritage.com. Your email will never be given or sold to anyone else or used for any other purpose than the
    Free PSA Card contest email.

    4. After completing those steps, you are entered in the contest. There is no purchase required. Entries will be accepted until
midnight Pacific time on August 31, 2007. The drawing will take place September 2nd and the winner will be notified by email.
The winner will purchase the card through our EBay store, but will not be charged for the card. That way the winner will be
    public knowledge.

    5. If this contest is a success, we will continue to have these contests on a monthly basis. The success of this contest will be
determined by an increase in traffic to our ebay store and our sister sites (listed below), as well as visits to our additional
sponsers (listed below). No purchase is necessary, but please take a look at these sites if that brand of card interests you.
Keep this site and our sister sites in mind whenever you are looking for cards!

    6. Thanks for visiting and good luck!

<< <i>LOL you spelled Mantle wrong all over the listing

    image >>

I spelled it wrong in the Ebay title once to catch the fatfinger searchers, is it mispelled somewhere else?

    Thanks!

i saw it 3 times wrong on the main page but that could have been just the title in 3 different places. when i came back they were fixed

I don't know it just really stuck out since it was the last word in the title - now it looks like it's still like that. It's late and I've downed a lot of coffee tonight - sorry

I want to make sure no one buys it! I want to generate traffic to my EBay auctions/store and websites. I haven't had time to put anything else in the store yet, but I'll be doing that over the next few weeks.
  • I'm in. Thanks for the chance.

Hopefully me! Between Ebay sales, website sales, Ebay signups (not expecting many of those, but EBay pays you for signups coming from your site), google ads (I get money from google whenever someone clicks on the ads, they don't have to purchase anything), and hopefully an increased google ranking for my sites, I hope to make enough to at least break even on the card (paid about $170 for it). If I don't, then it will be a one time thing, and if I do, I'll keep doing it. If it is very successful, I'll bump up the prize in the future.

I like off-the-wall marketing ideas. I think you're gonna need a wacky waving inflatable-arm tube man as well.

    I hope I win.

    STown,

I was down in Houston this weekend. I thought Dallas was hot! I was disappointed that the Astros were not in town. Got attacked by a horseshoe crab or something in Galveston!

You picked an awesome weekend weather wise. It's been raining almost every single day for the past 2 months.. We only had a short shower on Saturday but otherwise, clear blue skies.

If you thought it was hot and muggy, should feel what it's like without the rain. I'll put it this way, I can't recall the last time we were this far along in Summer without registering 100.

Glad to hear you had a fun time on the brown beaches and water of Galveston. Next time you come down, let me know and I'll gladly give some suggestions.

Congratulations to DCHSPORTSINVESTMENTS (a board member here), the winner of the first big Mantle giveaway. I'm hoping he'll leave a post here as well. There is a new contest up for this month (1966 PSA 5 Mantle). Good luck!

I didn't sign up last month, I signed up this month...why not? What's the worst that can happen? My identity is stolen and I'm charged with 17 felonies? It's worth it for a shot at my first Mantle...
