"If I hear one more 'if we don't fight them there, we'll have to fight them here' I am just gonna snap. It's a lie, it's a lie perpetuated by the lying, deceitful regime in washington who seems to have forgotten that it's real American lives being sacrificed to perpetuate their flawed foreign policy.

Oh, vintagetoppsguy, in case you forgot, Iraq had *nothing* to do with our being attacked on 9/11. That would be Afghanistan, big difference. I don't think anyone who opposes the occupation in Iraq opposed going into Afghanistan and Pakistan and extracting the Al Qaeda there who were responsible for 9/11. But to veer off course, to not obtain the objective and sacrifice thousands of US troops, tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians, while pouring $12 billion a month into the effort in Iraq is simply inexcusable.

Instead of squashing Al Qaeda, all Bush and Co. have done is to (a) make it as strong if not stronger than pre-9/11, and (b) make the job of recruiting easier than ever for terrorists.

Fight them there or fight them here? Do you honestly believe that?"

I quoted this here out of respect for Stown, first off I understand in politics opinions vary, im not looking to fight just looking to discuss as I disagree with a few of your statements.

1-You do not think Sadaam was or would have harbored Al-Qaeda? I think he would have in a heartbeat, this countries policy is to view anyone harboring Al-Qaeda a threat.
2-Not sure how you say Al-Qaeda has been strengthened?
3-Yes I firmly believe in taking the fight to them, the more cells we destroy over there are less that will make it into this country or our allies countries. There have been numerous terrorist plots that have been taken down in this country and recently in London.

I hate to see our brave men and women lose their lives in this struggle but it is a very dangerous world we now live in and to stop now would meen that all that was lost was in vain.

Again, not looking to fight just debate.

I'd also prefer if we werent sending billions of dollars to fix Iraqi infrastructure when our own roads and bridges are in serious disrepair.

i think that the only politics that should be discussed in these forums should be politics about card grading or sports. we have to deal with enough politics on the outside. if you really need to disscus politics go to a board that is dedicated to that. i am sure they wouldnt like if someone there started talking about sports.

After carefully reading through this thread, I've surmised that the most important discussion needs to focus on the battle of the Sig Lines. Do we prefer the familiar, but always alluringPerkgog Perkies or do we go with the new Stown Blonde? (As an aside, doesn't Stown Blonde sound like a good name for a beer?)

I'm undecided so far. I must spend some more time looking.
  • Hilarious how the guy trying to start an off topic 'politics' thread resorts to talking about sports.

    Ironic, even.
  • i think Stowns babe looks more natural then the giant breasted freak twins lol. Just my humble opinion.
