What to do when seller doesn't send cards.

Okay, I sent money order for a Verlander AUTO RC to seller that I won on ebay. 2 weeks has passed, so i emailed seller, no response. I sent a trace on the money order. A couple days ago, I got notice that it was cashed. I also filed a dispute with the seller, posted neg FB. The seller is an NARU. I got a response from ebay saying basically there is nothing they can do but to try and contact that seller, which I did two days ago, no response.
Now is there anything else I can do? It's not a big amount of money, not like I lost over $200 but still it's the principle. I also tried to file mail fraud charges againest this person via USPS, if that will help. Anyone else have any problems in the past with sellers/buyers?

I mean, you could try and file a claim in small claim's court, or something like that -- but at the end of the day, there is little you can do other than chalk it up to a lesson learned.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

You might want to contact the postmaster at his zip code. If he gets a lot of complaints at the same office he might act on them. The postal inspectors are so busy with high dollar fraud and with terrorism things that they typically won't get involved in a mail theft of even a few hundred dollars. But if the PM gets several complaints about the same person, they'll usually pass it along and ask for help.

Probably you're going to lose your money, the best you can hope for is that they stop him from doing it to someone else.

  • I had the same thing a couple of months ago, I had proof of the cashed money order and filed mail fraud charges, but as I expected, nothing ever happened and the p.o.s. is still selling on Ebay.

I work at usps in a small office, because it's a small office I see some of every part of the system. If there is 1 complaint about somebody, nothing happens. 2 complaints, nothing usually happens. A bunch of complaints about the same person results in a trap being set and the person being prosecuted.

The problem is that most people complain to their home post office, which doesn't do any good. The complaint has to go to the cheater's home office so the complaints can stack up and get noticed.

USPS has limited resources and can't send the whole army every time something might have been lost or misdelivered, but they will send out the troops if there is a good chance that there is real fraud going on.

Once again, Feebay takes deadbeat buyers more seriously than deadbeat sellers. image

You're screwed. Next time use paypal to buy. There is no reason not to as a buyer. If you had used paypal, they would have refunded your payment because the seller could provide no proof of delivery.

Tell him that if he doesn't send cards, you will go to his front door and kick his ass. I did it and it worked. chaz

Before dialing the number, dial *70. This blocks the caller ID

OMG! That is too damn funny , I think that's a great idea, you may have to do something to mask the smell though .

Personally if I had the guys ADDY it would be " Time for a Road Trip "

Like you said , it's not such a huge dollar amount , it is the principal .

    I'm sure all the trouble is going to be worth at least a knee cap or an arm {Badge }

Maybe even a knee cap and an arm,{Badge} depending how long you have to sit in front of his house waiting for him to step outside to thank him .

How about the threat of calling the local police department??
  • If its not a large amount their local PD will do nothing, many consider an Ebay transaction to be a civil matter. I agree with CDnuts next time use Paypal.

Why should someone who has nothing to do with it get the satisfaction ?
