Albert Pujols error card?

I remember in 2002 opening a pack of 2002 Topps and pulling an Albert Pujols base card #160. I looked on the back and I noticed that the picture on the back was not Albert Pujols, but Placido Polanco.

I have 3 of this card that I know of right now. I was looking at the population report of that card and it shows this -

160 ALBERT PUJOLS BACK PHOTO CORRECTED 0 0 0 2 17 0 20 0 6 45

160 ALBERT PUJOLS BACK PHOTO POLANCO IN CAP 0 0 0 0 3 0 2 0 2 7

I know that this card is not the most graded card in the world or anything. I just happened to notice because I collect one PSA regular Topps of Pujols in either a 9 or 10. Anyway, I was just wondering where I can get the corrected version for my raw Cardinals team set collection. I cannot find it on Ebay or sporlots.com . It looks as though the corrected version is much more plentiful than the error, yet I have never even seen a corrected version.

Help would be appreciated.

not sure but I think the corrected is avail in factory sets and some people may not list it that way.

There are a couple in ebay stores (doesn't say if they're corrected or error) or you could buy a factory set or unopened box.

This card confuses me as well. I think I have both versions graded by PSA but I can't tell the difference. I'll check the next day or two and let you know.

You should be able to tell the difference because the error is definitely Polanco (if you know what Polanco looks like).

I have 15 of this card and they ALL have Polanco on the back. Therefore, it seems the Polanco version is the more plentiful verson. I know at least 2 of mine are from factory sets as well. Also, it appears that PSA is not consistent with their labeling of this card. Here are two examples - they both look like Polanco to me.. not sure why one is labeled with Polanco and the other is not. I don't think I've ever seen the corrected version. Does anyone have one?

  • Thats a CORRECTED ERROR according to POP report

It was corrected for the 2002 Topps OPENING DAY SET which uses the same front with the 2002 opening day stamp and a correct picture on the reverse......
