Could not be more OT, but I need your guys superior research skills.....

I know I am going to get my balls busted for this one, but I need some research help and this board is tops at that. Ok, so I managed to end up with these 4 vintage women's hats. I have had trouble finding much about these or similar pieces on eBay. I believe they are osterich feather, but they may be pheasant, not real sure. There are 4 hats and one box. This is the original matching box for atleast one of these, maybe all of them I am not sure. The box has "Millinery- Urbiet Orbi" and "Motomachi, Tokohama" and a Japanese phone number. 3 of the hats are marked on the inside with tags and they have "Urbiet Orbi- Original Not To Be Copied" which makes me think these were expensive then and they did not want people selling knock offs. One is marked "Urbiet Orbi- Custom Made Hats". I am not sure what era these are from but they are very old. I can find lots on Millinery hats but nothing much that is Urbiet Orbi. I did find this one yahoo classified that is sort sof similar. Yahoo Classified Hat

I am not sure if I should eBay these as a lot of individual and I have no idea what they might bring. I just would like to find some info to list them accuratley and not miss out on a lot of buyers. Here are a few pictures. Any help is appreciated. PLEASE DO NOT GET CARRIED AWAY WITH MAKING FUN OF ME ON THIS THREAD HAHA. I have some nice cards listed on eBay and I really hate to have these show up when people go to view sellers other items haha.

    Yes, we need to see them on your head to be certain hat they are, in fact, real hats.

    I promise you, if even one of those hats turns out to be worth big buck$, you have my word you will never be made fun of on this forum again. I wish I could help you but I don't know the first thing about hats as a collectible at all. Good luck.

    I'd suggest trying one of the ebay discussion boards: Community link at top right, then scroll down to Category Specific and find the best match. (Just don't tell 'em I sent ya) This would be a great episode for Scrubs with JD & Dr Cox...

    With all that crazy dancing, you'd think he would've been in better shape. But alas, only the good die young. I remember the episode where he needed $5 to enter a dancing contest, so like 5 people offered to buy him in for half the prize and he took all of their money. Then when he was about to win the $100 prize, Rog explained that if he won he would owe all 5 people $50 which he didn't have. They don't write em like that any more.

    The problem with a collectible like Allen's hats is if you have pets and leave the hats unattended, one of them will hump a hat...
    Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

    I guess "Millinery" is someone who makes hats. "Urbi et Orbi" means "For the City and For the World." Motomachi is apparently a shopping district in Yokohama, Japan that is mostly boutiques.

    I just saw a Pheasant Feather hat with it's box on a yahoo auction from earlier this year for $85. I have no idea if that hat was old or new. If you came across these for free, you may make a little profit off them.

    So I was bored this morning, what can I say!!

    believe they are vintage of around ww2 era- not sure if post or pre-but the phone # kinda dates it,the box ,tags inside the hats ,and the look of them are 40's era they are at least 50-60 years old guaranteed,just being a military seller i can tell you that much , not much more though
