My brother took around a scarce date Barber Half in PCGS PO01 to show to dealers at the last show we were at. Not a single dealer showed any interest in the piece. My brother wants to unload it so he can get something else for his collection. Until he unloads it, he considers that it's an albatross.ebay might be his only option for selling his junk silver box refugee.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
I personally think they are cool. It’s hard to have a coin worn down that much without some kind of damage occurring that would prevent a straight grade and also almost impossible to verify the date and mint mark with that much wear.
I also always credited braddick with both popularizing P01s and for making people aware of how elusive they are when he offered the $1000 reward if anybody could get an Ike slabbed as a P01 on this forum

Quality wear, not damage
Fair enough. I will not rain on your parade any further.
Sometimes, it’s better to be LUCKY than good. 🍀 🍺👍

…almost 14 years later and apparently they are still cool; the OP has been banned…eat crow
Here's one of mine you might like better
Very nice @Zoins

I don’t collect low ball this is my second low ball I’ve owned. Both were civil war dates.

If an MS-70 and a P-01 coin both walk into a bar, I'd certainly gawk at the MS-70, but would rather talk to the P-01 just for the stories.

I think we would all agree, it's better then collecting these.
Perfect description of my opinion also. Any coin that the description starts with the word poor I pass.

The subject makes about as much sense as this one when huge money changes hands for anything but a rare item. Just my opinion.
I have a rock tumbler that might make me a fortune.
It is a fad. It makes me wonder too.
