Good for him. It's become a common milestone but still impressive.
Wonder if he's going to celebrate with his wife or the Amazonian...
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts
Common milestone? he's just the 22nd player in history to achieve this mark, and the youngest to do it. 3000 hits, on the other hand, is less exclusive, with 27 members, yet it wasn't called 'common' when Biggio did it.
But between him and Bonds, A-Rod is the lesser of two evils. Hopefully (and I quiver at the thought of what I'm about to write), in ten years or so, he'll be the new home run champ.
Collecting PSA graded Steve Young, Marcus Allen, Bret Saberhagen and 1980s Topps Cards. Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
