Some Venezuelan Topps questions

Hello. I saw some early 1960s Venezuelan topps cards for sale and was wondering are these fairly desireable? I have the Krause book; are the values accurate? I'll probably pick up a Kaline for my collection.
Does anyone here collect these guys?
Thanks!
John

I will say with most confidence that the cards that have been graded so far came from Daves Vintage Cards. I don't know the story how they came into possesission of so many of these, but they are the only dealer i know that is selling them in quantity. They are extremely rare. As i have posted before I only know 5 1968 Topps #80 Rod Carew cards in existence. I recently sold the 6 in the $150 range. I also sold the 5 that was graded as well.
And if you want one of his, you will pay!! These cards have tremendous paper loss issues due to the paper stock they used. It is low quality and does not have the typical sheen of a regular (U.S.) Topps card.
I'm not sure if these cards were even made in the U.S.
My .02 worth
Thanks - Dave's is where I saw the listings.
