Framed 68 Topps Packers Set

While there are several framing options for PSA graded cards, they are
primarily built for larger amounts than a typical team set.

I have been wanting to liberate selected slabs from their normal wooden box entombment so I decided to do my own frame.

1968 Packers Team set with auto Bart Starr 1992(?) Stadium Club membership premium and vintage logo patch.

Goal Line postcards featuring 60's era Packers and Lombardi with original 1960's pennant.

I am pleased with the result. Slabbed cards can get heavy. I found the best method so far is
utilizing foam board, with a felt sheet spray glued on top.

    Me likes!!!

I have been working on a 68 set as well. I like the Starr auto'd enlarged card. Also like the HOF Goalline frame!!!

I have been thinking of doing something similar with my tickets from the last game in Milwaukee. I am just trying to get my hands on a pic of the Favre dive into the endzone to win the game. Then I will pay the $$$ to have him sign it.

I have also thought about doing something similar with my Favre TD Receiver Auto'd Set.

    Great Job!!

Looks great. I have a sheet from a blue print from new Lambeau framed with the a ticket stub from the first regular season game. My Dad's company was one of two General Contractors for the project so my picture is a one of a kind type item.

I am also working on a Goal line are set up similar to this. I farmed out the blue print due to the size but want to take my hacks at the goal line. Thanks for sharing you photos

    Very Nice!

I don't think I've ever seen that enlarged Bart Starr card in the middle before.

Is that the one you're calling a 1992 Stadium Club redemption piece?
Is it a real auto, and do you know what other players were available? I just tried to look it up in the Beckett, and didn't see anything listed.

It sure makes me wish I would have sent in some of those membership cards I kept throwing in the trash, back when I was busting those packs.image

I THINK it had to do with:

    1992 STADIUM CLUBQB LEGENDS
These cards, featuring six Hall of Fame QB s were
random inserts in 1992 Topps Stadium Club series II
packs, one per every 72 packs. The front has a color
action photo along with the player s name and the
Stadium Club logo at the bottom. A lime green football
appears in the upper right corner with the year
the player was inducted into the Hall inside it. The
horizontal backs have a green & black background
which includes the player photo, career stats, mini
version of players first Topps card and a facsimile
autograph stamped in gold foil. Included in this nifty
little set is Unitas, Starr, Staubach, Bradshaw,
    Blanda and Tittle.

The card is 8x10 and the auto is real with an LOA letter direct from Stadium Club. The card is an exact reproduction... front and back.

In the 8 years I have been on Ebay I have seen maybe 3 for sale.

Starr seems to be the only one they offered even though there were 6 old school QB's used as inserts in 92 SC.

I've never seen or heard of those larger cards either until now.

Very nice. Would you elaborate on the backing (foam board) and how the cards and pieces are inserted into the foam board/frame?
    Enjoy your collection!

Hey, if you want to add signed versions of the GL Art cards I've dealt a lot with one guy who seems to have a lot of them, I think his name is larry nels, can find out if you're interested. I have ringo, hornung, starr, nitschke, adderly and maybe a couple more. PSA/dna does slab them but I don't think they grade them yet.

    Nice displays!!

SWEET! I actually have a display of Willie Mays in the works at a frame shop, I love the concept. I put in mine a '52 and '53 reprint cards along with his HOF induction card and an action photo. It should be ready in a few weeks, I cant wait!

I think the frame needs a mat , maybe a double mat in Packer colors and there is too much empty space. Just my 2 cents.....I do like the idea of framing cards for display.I have done a 69 deckle set, some 64 topps giants and a 1970 piece that included the original artwork cartoons and the cards that went with them.
