    You can for live auctions.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

I've seen this Buyer's Premium alot but never understood exactly what the heck it is--seems like a punishment for winning image Can someone enlighten me as to the rationale behind this?

(And why does the "confused" icon above look like someone whose Lasik surgery went terribly wrong--one eye looking up & the other down. Looks more painful than confused).

just a guess on my part, but id say the $ is forked over to the auction house that is putting it up?

  • Don't know about the buyer's premium but the bottom left corner looks bad for an 8.

That's what I was thinking. The bottom right doesn't look much better!

premium goes to the auction house. auction house is probably doing a live floor auction at the same time (and phone bidding, web page bidding, morse code bidding, etc) where bidders are paying 18% range so they charge extra on ebay to cover the ebay fees.

people complain about ebay and paypal fees but I think they are a bargain compared to what else is out there.
