Another example of an ebay seller to avoid

kevino35 bought this card, did some restoration work including coloring in the crease lines and is now trying to flip the card. I've bought from this guy in the past and just got back a handful of AUTH grades from PSA. Anybody want to figure out the odds that my AUTH's were cards I bought from this guy? He has been mentioned on these boards in the past and is still up to his old tricks.

I love his "guaranteed unaltered" statement at the bottom of his auction. I can guarantee that it IS altered.

Wow. That is all I can say.
I'm building a 1968 and a 1970 Topps set. I have lots of 1970s and 1960s to offer in trade.

Nice touch up on the upper right corner.

There was a thread on this guy a few weeks back. (can't find the link)

He cleaned up the pen marks on the back of a Goudey card.

There is no doubt that he touched up this card. It would be so obvious with this card in hand. image

I agree it's the same card and it looks like crap. But quite honestly, what is the price difference going to be on a creased up card anyway? I would rather have the original one if it's something I was looking for but what's the point of recoloring a card with 75 creases in it? I don't get it...

Seller must be a lurker here as he has pulled the auction. Reminds me of once I was in a shop and a dealer was cleaning up some cards with an eraser in plain sight. I have not been back,

  • Here is another example from this guy. Bought the card with a crease. Now it is amazingly crease free.

Lot of 4 poor condition cards

    Now suddenly "crease free"

Gotta love the scan on this card compared to his other lots. Wonder why he didn't fix the scan?

And I'm guessing he couldn't get the paper off the back of this one as easily as he hoped.

Yet another example why I stay away from raw
  • Hmm, those second auctions are pulled too. It's gotta be someone lurking here. Or he got reported to ebay or something.
