a well kept ebay secret-ebay store referral credit

thought i would post this in case somebody did not know about it, if you create your own website, and attach your ebay store link to it like mine, you can get ebay store refferal credt they call it, when someone goes to your website, and then clicks on something on there and buys something from your store, you are charged no ebay final value fees, depending on how much you sell, this can take alot or a little off of your ebay bill at the end of the month, does anybody else do this?????if so how is it working out for ya?

Hey thanks for the good idea. Besides ebay, I was going to try and build (through tripod or something like that) a web site. Thats a pretty good idea.
    Thanks,

i used yahoo sitebuilder for mine , but as buddy of mine told me they have a good deal on ebay prostores ,but it too late for me for that now, building one was bad enuff for me, but if you check into ebay prostores it might be a good website deal and you probably get the referral credits to as the prostore is a website

They have to be set up to allow cookies, and also have to buy when cruising in from your link. If I click your link, look at the card, think about it, and then go back and buy it you get no credit. Make sure that's mentioned in your link.

never had a problem yet,as long as they came in from your own link, they can think all day, works great for me

Keep in mind though that you're also directing the potential buyer to take a look at everyone elses similar listings on ebay. Not much of a problem if you sell unique items, but if you're selling something even remotely common they're likely to start browsing & may never return to your listings. Once someone makes their way to my site, I don't want to provide links that take them to my competition image

chb-ebay already does that for ya, like the see other similiar items from other sellers ,so that parts already covered,i'm not really worried about competition, most of my buyer are the same ones whos been buying from me for years, so ive cut my bill 1,500 to about 700.00 month with it,your puter is already set up for a cetrain amount of cookies jimq112,if it wasnt you could not got back without refreshing a page, the minimum is all you need, nobdy i know has ever had to set their puter cookie to anything new

Randy, I just meant if they're on my off-ebay site I don't want to provide an easy link that will take them to ebay (where they will see the "view similar items" & so forth that you mentioned). It sounds like in your case it's a great solution, I'm certainly not knocking the idea altogether image Just pointing out that if someone doesn't have the kind of loyal customer base you do or sells something where there's a ton of competition, it's probably best to keep them on your personal site & avoid the crowds if possible. Happy selling image

very true, i see what ya mean, i guess i must a loyal fanbase or something on ebay with the military stuff, alot of people from germany for some reason, ill ship anywhere,so i get alot of overseas biz, only problem is i need an intrepreter every once in a while,i ve been trying to talk to a guy in spain for 3 days lol, i still have no idea what hes talking about, the language barrier can be very frustrating, i can see why alot of people dont sell over seaseas
