Finished my 5th set

Hello All

I'm closing in on finsihing my 5th graded set 1981 Basketball.

I still have the set I put togather when I was kid. My Grandmother would take me down to the Ben Franklin store and buy me box of cards for mowing her lawn. We'd than hurry back to her house and bust open everything.

So far these are the set I have completed
1956 FB Mixture of PSA 8 and SGC 88 and up
1957 FB 2nd set completed in PSA 8 or better on the registry, this set was my pride and joy
1958 FB Mostly PSA 8 with remaining SGC 84 and up
1962 FB was 2nd set completed on the registry

I need 2 cards to finsih: 57 Nets and 106MW George Gervin

1981 Basketball is pretty tuff to build in high grade due to low pops, Centering problems, chipping.

    If your talking about my 57 football set i dont know the exact $ figure, I sold it to a guy in WI almost 4 years ago for $18,000.00. I dont know if he still has it or if he sold it, it's not listed on the registry anymore. That set had parts of the #1 allime set in it as well as #3 if I remember right, Rick at Mint state bought the #1 alltime set and i got like 35% of it. I'd like to know were it ended up, same goes for my 62 set.

    As far as 1981 Basketball it all depends on pops

    Nice set Paul! This is a very hard set to get in 10's and 9's very impressive. I bough a couple of vending boxes a few years back. These cards are cut so odd its hard to for me to find 8's and 9's. Keep up the good work!

    Finally finished my 5th set

    This set took almost 2 years finish

    For those who dont know 1981 Basketball is very difficult to build in high grade due to Chippping, Centering Issues, 4 sets in 1 and Low Pops

    Goal is to reach 9.50 GPA, Currently at 9.46 GPA, Currently #2 AllTime

    Will consider selling set only to serious buyers
