dont think ive heard of it perry, unless that is when you are first setting up a paypal accout, they send like 2 cents or something to verify that you have some kind of check or savings accout attached to your paypal,is that what it is?

nah its a paypal account that is for accepting payments lower than $12.00, and you (as a seller) pay a lower fee to paypal..

I got a payment for a 20 cent card one time, and there was a mistake on shipping so the shipping cost did not populate. Paypal took out their 30 cent charge, but they were kind enough to just call it an even $0.00.

perry- you mean like the time you won those 2 PSA 10s from me for a total of like 6 cents? Those were micropayments.

I've posted about this before, but PayPal Micropayments should be a part of every eBay seller's operation if you take a lot of sales of $10 or less. You simply have to set up a separate account. Would also be wise to set up a separate checking account too to move money out faster. PayPal accounts can only be tied to one checking account, I believe.

Fees are 5% + $0.05, so for a $1.00 sale the fee is 10 cents.

  • Seems like too much of a hassle to have to have seperate accounts. I think there is also a rule on Ebay about using 2 different Paypal accounts for recieving payments. They think you are trying to get around the Paypal charges by having one set for a basic account and another set up for taking CCs with a premier account. I know listings have been pulled for doing that before on Ebay.

agred leia, seems to much of a hassle to me,one paypal account is enuff to try and keep up with ,if you set a website up of your own, you can get ebay store referral cedit and they charge you no final value fess, not a whole lot of people know about that,i think ebay guards it real good, ill post it, then maybe you guys can save some $ with it
