Anyone here collect Topps baseball stickers (1981-90)? Just need 1984 Jason Thompson #128 to complet

Am I the only one in this congregation who loves the Topps baseball sticker albums from 1981-90? Well, remember when my father first got me into cards back in 1989 with that year's Donruss and Topps sets? Well, I also managed to get the Topps baseball stickers album from that year. I loved sticker albums as a kid; I even got two I Love Snoopy sticker albums w/ wax box (don't laugh) a few years ago and was able to make two complete sets so I could sell the spare set/album to get most of my money back which was around $50ish (I said don't laugh!!).

Anyway, a few years ago I decided to try to assemble the whole set of albums with the stickers in the albums. After learning the hard way that stickers from 1988-90 curl badly when peeled from the hard backs, I was very lucky to find those three with the stickers already inside.

I'm now short just one sticker to complete all ten albums:

Anyone else like Topps baseball stickers and did they do them for football/basketball too?

I do not have a 1981 sticker book for you, but I share your love for those. I loved those when they came out. I opened a few boxes of those about a year ago.

I loved those 81-83 stickers as a kid. I bought them all the time from the local drug store - i still have most of em and i remember the excitement of pulling one of those foil stickers. I never peeled them though I did have the albums. I still have them all in sheets. I think I need a few for my 83 set, so if anyone has some to trade, pm me.

I'm also thinking about scanning all the pages on these so I can read them w/o wearing the albums out (you have to be especially careful with the center All-Star game pages with those heavy foil stickers). If I can figure out how to do that w/o damaging them, that'd be great. These albums really are interesting and have TONS of stats for that year, especially team stats. Wonder if anyone here did those Topps baseball card complete set offers from 1986-90 as well.

Estil, sorry but I am currently trying to corner the market on the stickers....jk, somewhere I have a bunch of those (unpeeled) from when I was a kid, if I come across them anytime soon I'll send them your way. No promises though as I haven't seen them in a number of years.

i stuck all my stickers on my lunch boxes lol. (to be fair, the were mostly star wars stickers)

Say, I noticed on Ebay Topps also did football stickers; what years?

You may be in luck. I have one half opened box of stickers that I got in a wax box deal about 2 years ago and I'm pretty sure it's from 1984. I will check tonight and let you know.

You could always buy a few boxes (or a case) for a few dollars or so and try to find one also.
