here is the original thread when i first purchased this coin, and was a little unsure as to what i had. It is bascially a German Shooting Thaler, with a small mintage.

looks like Bruce was able to get great definition out it!

Wow... looks like a completely different coin from the TT pics. Is the coin this dark in hand or somewhere in between?

Nice coin - you've captured the level of detail quite well. It looks a bit dark, comparing to the TT pics, though - what kind of lighting did you use, if you don't mind me asking?

This coin was shot using 3 OTT lights. The coin is fairly dark in hand. The teletrade photos are not even close as far as the color goes. This one was tricky to photo.

OTT light is basically a full spectrum light. Sometimes called true color. Anyhow they work well for bringing out true colors.
