PSA grading due to National??

Since the National starts today, will PSA be grading anymore orders this week??

No, but they might have some orders that are graded or finishing up in encapsulation that haven't been entered as "Grades Posted" yet. So it may appear they are grading but it is very doubtful any grader is still sitting at PSA with the Nationals going on. I think the entire team is there.

Someone had a sub pop today. Like Josh said, these may have been graded previously or something, but if you are asking if you could have a submission pop today, that answer is yes.

Was your sub the June $5 special or the $13 special?

I had some from the end of June (in fact, July 14 checkin) pop already. My subs from 6/22, 6/25 and 6/30 have not popped. From the looks of things, they were into about the middle of June. Seems to me the subs that were showing up over the last week or so, were progressively moving up. ie. Date Received 6/10, Grades 7/25... Recevied 6/11 Grades 7/26 etc.

So you might be next in line, but with the Nationals, all bets are off. I would imagine that place is a ghost town right about now.

It is painful to wait but eventually I will get an unexpected quick turnaround that wasn't given to the grader of death to make up for it

Yeah, and next week if you call to check on an order they'll have the "we're swampped cuz we were gone last wk. to the National" excuse...so I'm guessing add another week or so to your "expected" time.

hrmmm and I just mailed out an 8 card sub under the $13 special on Tuesday 7/31. I dont care how long it takes. I only care about getting good grades image

  • Hello All,

Please keep in mind that we only take a portion of our staff to the shows. The vast majority of our grading team remains at our home office so orders continue to be graded.

    Take care,

There were more subs that popped today 08/02/2007, so the grading most definitely continues..

I stopped by the PSA booth today, and as a newB, I was very impressed with the staff. Cosetta answered many questions for me about the registry and how everything works, it was better than a month's worth of posts. The graders were non-stop. I was impressed by the entire operation.

Huh...Good to know. I was always under the impression that HQ pretty much cleared out. There is a lot of staff at the Nationals and they are very busy so I assumed they took an "all hands on deck" approach. Glad to hear that's not the case...since I have orders at PSA now. If I didn't, maybe I'd have a different opinion. image

    Thanks Joe.

Thanks Joe. I was under the same impression so it's nice to hear differently. image
