We recently won an 1842 and a 1868. Take a shot at grades if you'd like, the 68 is a circ strike but is as PL as i've ever seen!

RYK, I agree with you, we were debating whether or not to keep the 68. We are keeping it and will look for one that fits our set a little better in the future.

Neither coin has much of an original look. From the scan, it is difficult to gage the luste... the 1842 is a 50 on the best pssible day and the 1868 is likely a 55.

The '68 is the better coin - from the pics, the '42 is less original, not more, than the '68.
