London Coin Shop Query

Are there any coin shops in this part of London, Euston Station / Russel Square? A friend of mine is staying in that area and asked if there were any vendors.

Spink and a few other shops are at or near Russel square.

A visit to michael-coins in Portobello is also recommended, very near the Notting Hill tube station.

Take the westbound Circle Line from Euston Square station to Notting Hill Gate and go visit Michael Coins if you like British. There are a few shops in the Leicester Square area as well.

Yes, Coincraft is also there. But it seems crazy to mention these with the British Museum right there. Even without appointment to the coin room, the displays are rather good. Spink is on Southampton just around the corner and supposedly is remodeled. Maybe a report as to their status would be nice as there have been reports of them not being as healthy. I think that DNW is fairly close, the addy is posted at www.dnw.co.uk, and though not much retail they may have upcoming auction lots to look at...BTW, where is Michael Coins?

And to think I was walking down Portobello and did not know just last year. Rather nicer in London than our own East Coast at this time of year.

The friend should have a grand time and am a bit envious (except for the exchange rate!).
