Pretty Cool - A baseball player just purchased his baseball card from me

Sold a 2001 topps limited Anthony Pluta rookie card to Anthony Pluta.

Thought that was kind of cool....

I sold a car part once to one of john elway's dealerships and thought that was cool, yours is better! Maybe if you ask for an autograph when you ship it, he might send one back. Doesn't hurt to try for sure image

Back in the 80's my old man sold some cards to Bob Feller.

Bob called from an ad in SCD and my dad took the order and when he asked for the name, the voice said "Bob Feller." My dad said, "Thee Bob Feller?" And he said, "The one and only."

I thought it was cool back in 2002 when I sold Keith Olbermann some Topps 206 SPs and minis.

I'm a mailman. Anybody can sign for them unless it's "restricted delivery" and that would cost more than the auto is worth. Great idea though!

OT I deliver mail to Bruce Baumgartner the olympic wrestler (Gold medal, heavyweight, 1984 I think). Once I had a certified letter for him, somebody wanted reservations for his camp. I had him sign it, then said oops wrong slip, and had him sign again. I bet I have the only auto of his like that. Maybe on ebay it's a 1/1 but not worth losing my job.

He also verified that he had signed a card I bought on ebay. Kind of cool COA for me image

I was at a show earlier this year in Bloomington, MN and a guy stepped up to the table I was
at. He asked the dealer if he had any Tony Oliva cards. I turned to see that it was actually Tony Oliva himself, looking for some of his cards to buy. Pretty cool.....

True Bob Feller story...I was at a Feller signing (a common occurence here in Cleveland). Guy in front of me asked Bob what he thought about the Native Americans who were upset by the Chief Wahoo mascot, Bob said (direct quote) "Just give them some firewater, that'll shut them up"....one thing about Bob, he loves his legacy and loves to sign and will tell stories all day long. Hell of a pitcher. Imagine what his record would be if he did not lose the best years of his career to World War 2!!!
