Whats the best Canadian coin reference?

Lately I have been fooling around on ebay buying Canadian coins. They are inexpensive, and low risk to buy raw, (good way to calibrate the eye between fuzzy ebay pic and what you actually get), and lots of different designs. What is a good guide to what is out there?

I have bought this catalog and I have to tell you it is better than a lot of them that I have seen. Get it!

Similarly, there is also Haxby's 'Coins of Canada'.

I've heard rumors that Whitman Publishing is planning A Guide Book of Canadian Coins.

The Charlton and Haxby catalogs are the two most popular annual catalogs. I give the edge to Charlton and you really do not need both. I also highly recommend that anybody interested in Canadian coins subscribe to Canadian Coin News. It is an interesting bi-weekly mag that has more current, and more detailed pricing, than the annual catalogs. Welcome to the greyside.
