well your poppage defy's my and maybe others theory about large subs with a range of years and cards. I submitted 226 mixed football cards, mainly modern and over half favre's 1991-1994. Some are inserts but most arent really odd ball inserts. here are my resutls.

You would think that they would want to clear some of these out before they go to Cleveland soon.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

pm's replied. I'm going to update the list with what's not available. I'm keeping 13 cards from this sub for my various sets.

Funny thing is, my last two subs that included some baseball, popped faster than my all football submissions. The 3 submissions I have left at PSA are a 1961-1979 all fb submission (23 cards). a 1980-present football submission (24 cards) and an 11 card graded review. 1961-1986. All were checked in 6/22, 6/25 and 6/30. My other subs from 6/30, 7/13 and 7/14 have all popped now.

If the results are from the June $5 special, then that is EXACTLY what sucks about PSA. I have a submission in since 7/2, and some still have stuff there from April! Just an absolute crappy way to conduct business. Could very well be my last submission. Sad thing is....they don't care one iota.

Dave, All 120 cards are listed. There are multiples of many of them so it's not a 1:1 with line number.

kimo: I agree. I have submissions from earlier in June (not the middle of July) that were entered and are smaller and more tightly coupled than this hodge-podge that aren't graded yet. It is what it is. I'm ecstatic these popped so soon, don't get me wrong, but I've been on the other side of it too. I waited 90+ days from doorstep to doorstep on a 189 card order back in March. I sent in 3/10 and got it back 6/17. I've also had 100 card, 45 day orders take 3 days. I check everyday, but I really don't expect to see the cards for close to 45 days. In fact, I had this one pegged for the middle of September. I'm glad it popped sooner as it lets me liquidate some stuff and now I don't have $650+ tied up in one submission. That's what really is the killer for me. Not the waiting, it's the money being tied up for that long.

    Josh,

I just can't believe all the 6's and 7's...geez. You hit some nice cards but you also got a lot of cr*p that will be tough to unload.

    Regards,

Not a single one of those 7's should be a 7 (except the older stuff, and maybe something I missed on a couple of those 86 Topps). The 6 on the Terry McDaniel Pro Set is a joke. Funny thing is, on the Bennetts, one of them was a 6 and another was a 7 from my las submission. I didn't see any reason they should be a 6 and a 7 and resubbed them. I'm not positive which ones they were in the stack, but now it's 3 8's, a 9 and a 10...so either way, PSA was wrong the first time around. I'll be cracking and resubmitting a few of these I'm sure. Pretty lame since a lot of them are $10 cards in PSA 8 form and I'm going to spend $10 to get them into that holder, but at least that way I break even...if I crack them out to sell them raw, or sell them in the 7 holders I probably get a quarter or 50 cents for them and then I'm out $4.50/card. Sometimes I don't spend a lot of time looking at the cards, especially when it comes to modern stuff like this, but I don't send in PSA 6 quality modern stuff... By the way, I only got 2 6's. No idea what I missed on that Dermontti Dawson...that's just lame. The last one I sent in came back a 6, turns out that one had a pressed edge that I missed. Not sure what happened on this one.

Oh well, win some you lose some. Overall I did quite well on this sub. The stuff I needed came back in grades I can use and the other stuff I can sell off to pay the grading fees and such.

I think I'm going to open an ebay store and just toss a bunch of this stuff in there and see how it does. The bowman chromes are great, I just pulled those out of an 800 ct box I had under my desk. I had no idea what was in it. I also managed a PSA 10 Zumaya refractor rc on my last sub from the same box. That Hunter Pence 10 should get $75 or so. The 61 fleers cost me $1 each raw...the PSA 9 will pay for the grading fees on them and one 7 will pay for the cards, the rest is gravy. I expected more 8's out of them however, I did not expect a 9 though so that was a bonus.

    OK Josh,

So if I buy this pile, and help you get rid of some of those 7's and the overgraded 9 ... how much gravy will it cost me?

LOL. Guess I should have over-sold those a little bit instead huh? image

I figure auction value (based on vcp values) is about $85 on those. Got anything to trade? Or I could sell them too and cut you a few bucks off.

How about $40 cash, a under graded vintage PSA 7, an over graded PSA 9 I got from a $2.00 card I bought raw, and a surprise raw bonus card?

My last sub was about 700 cards of mostly modern. I wound up with about 15 cards that were 6's and 7's. I was a little pissed because I've been submitting for 10 years and I know what I'm looking at. I still don't see a flaw with those cards. I'm bringing them to the National and see if I can't get somebody to answer for them. Percentage wise out of the whole order, it's no big deal but it still pisses me off to throw money away.

Wabbitt-I feel the same way. The vintage stuff was 7/8 quality but the 86 TOpps stuff, even if it had been Jerry Rice, shouldn't have gotten a 7. So Unless I just missed something I don't know what happened. Like I said, I expected 8's on all of them with a smattering of 9's.
