Paypal Chargeback

Anyone ever had one of these against them? I just got one today, buyer claiming he never received the package I sent to him. Buyer didn't want insurance. If you have had one did they rule for or against you?

Thanks,
Ryan

  • Did you ship the item to the paypal Confirmed Address within the US and use delivery confirmation? If not, you will lose the charge back claim 99.9999999% of the time.

i have ,its something new they put on there to drive ya nuts lol, i got one a month or so ago, it comes from the credit card company ,then credit card company gets ahold of paypal,,mine still says it is not resolved, so they take their sweet ol time thats for sure,in my case, someone had their credit card stolen and someone opened account with it on ebay, i dont know if they bought stuff off of anybody else or not, but it was only 16.00 for me for a couple of military items,so i just agreed to whatever the hell they was talking about(i wasnt about to read the page of page of chargeback garbage) and paypaled the $ back-thats the jist of it right there ,either someone used card with out permission, or never got the item supposedly, you'd think that would be under a paypal dispute like it used to be though,it would be quicker:theres always a nut out there somewhere

As has been stated before, insurance protects the seller. If people pay with Paypal, they would be dumb to pay for optional insurance. You can make insurance mandatory or include it in the shipping/handling.

Yes, I've had one against me....over $200 to Germany. Sent insured and registered, but they don't scan in that country and this buyer is constantly ripping people off as I found out later. I no longer ship outside of N. America.

Bottom line, if you don't use DC or some sort of tracking, you will always lose. With the buyer opting out of insurance is irrelevant, you will lose. Paypal just wants to see confirmation that it was delivered.

I just send all my packs with delivery conformation, unless the buyers pay for insurance. 99% of the time they DO NOT buy insurance, but 99% I DO buy insurance image
