here is his reply to me :

sold many items locally no problems.but with 20-40 year old items i don't really know true history of...i am skeptical about using words like guarantee and or shipping out and not knowing what happens to them next either.i felt better buying into the collection because it was large.if you have concerns on the auction(s) i would say do not bid.i realize it can be a grey area and just try to do my best.leaving town in the am,best regards jeff

No one with a legit product would ever tell anymone not to bid. He's hoping to reel people in who wouldn't know a resealed pack if it hit them in the face.

He has enough unopened packs to support the idea that it's all legit or he is one heck of a scam artist. You decide. As the saying goes - if something sounds too good to be true - it probably is.

He also knows that grading them will bring him more money if they're legit.

He has some very high dollar unopened material that if graded and authenticated would no doubt bring a much higher hammer price. image

We are not talking about 1989 topps packs image
  • Has 2 negs that should make any buyer beware...

Packs looked reasealed, seller did not respond to email resolution attempts and this guy's response...

WE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM,OTHERS HAPPY,RCV QUICK NEG. AND NOW ITS TOO LATE !!

and he apparently sold a couple of bogus cards....$257 for 2 junk ballcards! Then he says I should 've known he was ripping me off!

Both of these negs occured more than 3 years ago.
  • All junk. The sad part is, even some seasoned collectors will take a shot at them.
You could write "FRAUD" on top of the title and they will still sell at close to graded prices....

no -ish, i don't doubt that they could sell for up to street value of non-searched product.

    sad commentary
