Please help a coin collector with "Sports Card" question...

Hi all, I'm new on this forum. I have a friend with a few hundred sports cards (football, baseball, basketball & hockey) that he collected in the late 80's thru mid-90's.

I don't have a clue about these, he just came across them when he moved, and I thought someone here might be able to suggest a list of "valuable" cards to look for in the lot before selling them.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Raq it depends on what you mean by valuable.

also in that list should include 1986 Jerry Rice?

Are they cards of those years, or cards from other years?

For example, I have collected cards in the late 80s and early 90s too, but they are all from the 50s and 60s.
  • Thanks for your ongoing help here.... the cards are dated in those years (all look pretty common) but since I don't even know who most ofthe guys are - I am no help. Was going to put the lot (binder, pages... all original excellent condition) on eBay.... but wanted to check for anything worth listing separately.

Invest in a Tuff Stuff magazine it's 5 dollars- it will give you a rough idea of the values for the better cards of those years. Mike

sadly though, that $5.00 Tuff Stuff might cost more than you'll get back on the cards.
