1969 Topps 4 in 1 Test Issue purchases

Hi everyone,

I finally decided to quit looking,, and buy !!

This was a test issue by Topps in 1969. Each card contained 4 mini stickers on each card. Only 25 cards were manufactured. Blank backed.

These cards are almost 40 yrs. old,, and take the Pete Rose (4 in 1) card for example. Its the key card to the set (grade weight of 10) only 18 have been graded !! (no 10`s.) Is there any other Rose card w/less total grades ??

As a matter of fact so far only ONE ("4 in 1") card has received a PSA-10.

Cards came 3 per pack. Well enough history, heres my first 2 cards.

    Man I used to have 5 unopened packs of that stuff a few years ago. i only sold them for 60.00 each. I should have just opened them.

    great set--currently #2...always looking to upgrade some of my qualifiers...good job!

    and yes I do want an unopened pack---are you listening Griffins??

    Is that #2 "All time finest" or "Current" ??

    should be stange , someone in the clerical dept must have assumed he was "strange" when it was originally set up in the database

    the mays and yaz are the other 2 keys. the rose may be the highest grade weight but the yaz card will definately be the most expensive.

    Why would you say the yaz card will be more expensive (in same grade) ?? Do you have direct knowledge of actual sale prices between the two cards ?

    Or is this something that you just "feel" would be the case ?

    I know, i personally, would not pay more for a Yaz card (same grade). And i should say, i`m not a Pete Rose collector. Nor do i dislike Yaz.

    Lee, there has not been a yaz for sale in a long time in a psa 8 , I actually can't recall any. there are only 5 8's and no 9's or 10's. there are alot of aggressive yaz bidders and I am sure they all need it so if one comes up for sale it will go much stronger than the rose which seems to come up once in a while even though there are not a lot of that one either.

    I have never looked into the Yaz collectors but I do know the top two Rose Master collectors will pay big money for high grade Rose cards. Especially rare ones like the 4 in 1's. I don't think I have even seen one on EBay.
