Grading?

I have a complete set of Topps 1961 baseball cards. What is the most cost efficient way to get them graded by PSA
(by the set, individually and/or at which submission level?

Any advice would help.....I'm new to this game!

I would pull out 10-20 of the stars and send them in for grading. At that point you will have a better idea of the condition of the cards. Then you could start going through looking for minor stars and low-pop commons. I would never think about grading the entire set. .02

  • I would post scans of a few of the HOFers from the set as well as a few cards which represent, in your opinion, the average condition of the commons. Sometimes, when you buy a raw set (if that's what you did), the stars would have been picked clean and replaced with cards which may not reflect the average condition of the rest of the set. Scans really help.
