Is the 1973 Kellogg's Set popular with collectors?

I purchased a very nice raw set and thought I would send them in for grading but I don't collect Baseball.

Regardless of its popularity, the set is simply extraordinarily easy to find in top grade (PSA 9 and PSA 10). Thus, don't waste the money to be disappointed on your submissions. If you like the set, it would not be hard to purchase on the cheap already graded MINT or better.

As an example, the last Reggie Jackson PSA 9 sold for $5.50, the last Steve Carlton PSA 10 went for $20. Most medium-tier HOFers from the set come in close on Ebay in the $5/PSA 9, $20-$30/PSA 10 range.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
  • That sucks! I picked it up because it was next to a complete set 1970 Kellogg's Football which I need to complete my set. I love the star cards of the 73 set so maybe I'll get them graded and trash the rest. Thanks
  • What MikeSchmidt didnt mention is that they are still fairly common unopened in the original envelope as well which I suspect is where a large portion of the high grade stuff comes from. Nice set, pick them up cheap slabbed and resell the nice set you have, may be cheaper in the end and your guarenteed goods results. Feel free to what till I finish my set though.
