Hello, Everyone:
I am pleased to announce a coming home giveaway, that is open to all CU Members.
Some background - I have been living overseas, this time, since 1987. I was wrapping up
military service, and then there was 6 years as a Department of Defense civilian employee,
then some other stuff after that, well, you get the idea. I am very pleased that we are returning
to Des Moines, Iowa, permanently, on August 1st - two weeks from today.
We are excited to be embarking on this adventure. It has been my good fortune, since May
of last year, to be part of the CU Community. This giveaway is my way of saying thanks to
CU, thanks to my new friends here, and thanks for the awesome folks who share of themselves,
and their extensive knowledge about numismatics, here.
The prize is one ancient Roman Imperial Coin, with original patina, in Very Fine or better condition,
delivered to you completely attributed.
Enter by posting in this thread. The winner will be selected randomly, not later than the 15th of
August. One entry per member, please. I picked the 15th as the closing date as we should be
hooked up again, via DSL or whatever, by then.
Thank you, everyone, and good luck!
Kind Regards,
John

Nice giveaway !
<< <i>What will be the first thing you do when you get home, Besides mailing me a coin Food maybe? Thank you in advance. >>
Actually, I thought I might listen to some classic Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, in my SUV. That was a cheap shot on my part.
I think that food is over-rated, especially American food. If you are talking about Mac-Dougles, or Burger Barf, I can live without
it. I'm more into Chinese, or salads, or anything else which is healthy, except seafood.
Probably the first thing is finding a job. If anyone within commuting distance of Des Moines, Iowa, is reading this, I would love
to help your coin shop grow and flourish, if you would give me a chance...
