He was a thug in college, he's a thug now. I've always despised his athleticism because it's made him a one man scramble, he's so undeserving of that talent. That on top of the fact that no quarterback can survive outside of the pocket that long and have a lengthy career. I really hope he's suspended until this is over and once he's proven guilty, forever. The feds don't get involved for nothing folks. He and Pacman Jones are two peas in a pod.

    He is a loser.

How do think this will affect his sports cards and memorabilia?
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.
  • same as OJ's cards, if not worse. Hasnt had career OJ did.

In light of the way he and his brother turned, Mama Vick ought to be proud! Great job at parenting there! Dirtbag.

Biggest waste of talent since Fred Lynn/Len Bias/Roy Tarpley/Brien Taylor etc. Even his pro bowl years were a joke. No contender would want the equivalent of a me-first ball hog on their team. Zero improvement over the years, and a trail of fired coaches, coordinators, and assistants. San Diego must be lighting up their annual victory cigar now.

As for the lawlessness and cruelty to animals, they should let some PETA people rip him to shreds and bury him in the back yard.

    Wow, that's an early draft!

Even if this weren't going on, I wouldn't waste more than a late round pick on Vick for my fantasy team anyway. He's far too inconsistent to rely on for any kind of steady production, fantasy-wise.

When ESPN ran that footage ad nauseum several weeks ago, it made me sick. Then that story came out about he wasn't going to be indicted, and I was disgusted. I feel a little better now. I hope he gets time.

I hope so, too. Maybe he'll catch a beat down in prison. That'd be some small measure of justice at least. A disgusting and revolting story. He's a piece of garbage.

Personally I don't think six years would be enough time in prison for him.

I think they should treat him how he treated the dogs. Drown, beat, hang and electrocute the uneducated thug.

the problem with the animal cruelty laws around here is that animals are considered property. the laws dont really take into consideration that it is a life. the laws have to change and take that "life" into consideration in order to have an impact at sentencing. a slap on the wrist doesnt do any good. a $5000 fine doesnt do any good. probation doesnt do any good. now regarding this specific case, vick should absolutely be permanently banned from the nfl for starters. hit him where it will hurt him. i doubt he will get jail time but taking his career away will certainly make others think before doing the same thing. this is not a first time substance abuse charge whereas he can seek help or he was spotted with a stripper. he INTENTIONALLY made animals suffer and took lives! whether they agree or not and whether they like it or not, these professional athletes are role models. what is this showing our youth??? he is nothing but a complete loser in my eyes now. most of us americans consider our animals as part of the family. i personally see mine as my children and will do anything and everything to protect them without hesitation. so when incidents like this appear on the news it can really stir people up. i am sure vick lost a ton of fan support with his actions.

If Vick goes to prison, I would expect there would be a big rush among the inmates to see who can claim ownership. Maybe his pimp will walk him around on a leash too.

John Gotti found himself extremely alone in prison, and paid the Aryan Brotherhood for protection, upwards of $50,000, if not more. When he STOPPED paying, though, he got a good beating and was smart enough to resume payments.

Michael Vick, I'm sure, will come to a similar arrangement with his protector of choice. image
  • tragic. I never was a big fan of his but it is such a waste to see someone like this ruin his career and let everyone down. Nobody comes out ahead on this one and if you think pit bull fighting will disappear, forget it. Hopefully the government won't screw this one up but it is not over by any stretch IMO.
