There are some nice counter-stamped issues in that sale.

There are two coins I would like to bid on but... it is likely not going to happen.

    cool, thanks for the info!

i see one little beauty i'm interested in. does this auction house have a good reputation for not selling cleaned crap? i'm always a bit leery with overseas auction houses due to this fact. thanks for any feedback!

I was interested n 12 Noble lots that would give me a nice start on a new collecting area.
Estimates on the 12 lots totaled $4050. My bids totaled $6150. However, I won only

0 lots!!! In fact, I was the underbidder on only 2 lots of the 12 which hammered for a total of $9310.
So much for a new direction!

yikes, sorry to hear that! yeah, it seems like their auctions brought some strong prices. i think this auction is just another testament to just how strong the darkside coin market has gotten, and just how weak the US dollar has become. better luck next time!

    I may have been luckier:

Bid on 6 lots with estimate total $1420, my bids totalled $1980, hammer total was $2160.

Won but not yet confirmed 3 lots total $670 including two very scarce pieces: a Lachine Railroad token and a Hudson's Bay 1 made beaver.

I missed the other 3 by $185 total including a PEI Holey dollar by $75

    Congratulations on your pick-ups, though!

Hmmm, not going to mention auction houses (and it was NOT Noble whom I've been reasonably pleased with before) but will say it was one of our English friends of prominence managed to overbid 7 out of 8 lots bid on to other bidders by 5 pounds each! And this after I requested 10% risers if necessary on my bids.
