1997 Tiger Woods 'GOLD' question...

In what product can you pull the more expensive 'GOLD' variation. I see that it comes in unopened boxes which are complete sets. I have seen a 'black' box and a lighter colored box (maybe yellow). Does anyone know if the 'GOLD' variation can be pulled out of either type box or just the black box or just the light box.

Methinks anyone who ever stood to make any money on Tiger Woods golf cards has already done so. I would just buy a raw one and know exactly what you're getting.

Here's an interesting, if depressing read on beckett, that I think best sums up my opinion on grading modern cards with huge print runs. If there's virtually unlimited product to pull from, overpaying for a "low pop" card is just idiocy.

And can you imagine getting 3,000 cases at one time?

Here and there, same old same old. Should be posting some informative links, incisive wit, and biting sarcasm on a pretty regular basis. Got out of the hobby for a bit, and like a dummy I'm slowly dipping my toes back in.

Sorry, the board has banned incisive wit and biting sarcasm. You're only allowed to contribute spoof threads and "When are my grades going to pop?" posts. Enjoy.

Inquiries for the URL for the large submission forms are also allowed (and encouraged), as are any posts lambasting PSA for not having a FIFO system. Bonus points are also rewarded to any of our resident philosophers who dare to explore the great ethical issue of our time-- i.e., whether buyers or sellers should feel obligated to leave feedback first on Ebay transactions.

No, you can not pull the gold out of either box set. The gold foil version was put out by Titleist as it's own set if I remember correctly. You can only pull the regular Tiger card out of the boxed sets.
    Looking for Carl Willey items.
