Who Collects US Coins?

I'm not talking about specialist, those that collect one series or another, but those of us that have no focus other than it's a U.S. coin.
Being that I'm one of them, and having some time on the train & info on complete sets for cents through dollars I thought I would see who had the highest percentage of coins.
Mind you, this is only including those members that have registry sets in the 'Complete Set' series, and only cents through dollars, no gold or commems where included.
There are other I'm sure I missed because they aren't in these sets, and I'm going by percentage only, not grades.

Here are the collector's with the worst focus. image

1. ajia 34.26% image
2. Bear Creek Collection 17.57%
3. Engram Collection US XX 12.43%
4. Neibaur Collection 11.3%
5. The Langan group, Inc. 8.71%
6. hockeyfan9 8.42%

Any other nominee's?

If we are talking 1793-Present and 1/2c through Dollar (non-gold), this is what I've been able to come up with. Almost all my coins are raw, so I'm just like you, for the most part, except without the registry. Here's the down low on my complete collection. I've also broken it down by type and so on, but I won't include all of that information publicly.

My collection is 32.44% complete (based on an estimated 2987 total coins from 1793 to present and all U.S. coin series from 1/2c to Dollar, of which I have 969 coins + several varieties not included in total)
This includes just a mere 6.60% out of the 32.44% in modern coins at the moment.

If I were to have all the modern coins, I would have a whopping 63.98% complete collection.

Ok, so you edged me out on the % (by 1.82), but I'm sure I've got you on age. Try 18. Yes, I'm just like you, I don't want to settle on one series for the rest of my life, I want it all, and I'm going for it. Whether I decide to slab the entire collection or not will be determined later, but I love what I've been able to ammass so far and to keep it intact. I'm buying the tougher coins now and I'll pick-up the easy (modern) ones when I'm older.

"Here are the collector's with the worst focus."

Interesting view, but maybe it's broadest focus and not worst focus.

    Stone, pretty impressive.
But if you want to include raw coins I have nearly every coin from FE to Lincolns, Liberty to Jeffersons, Barbers to Roosevelts, Barbers to Washingtons, Barbers to Kennedys, and Morgans to Sacs (not yet into Presidentials).
I would guess that I have about 90% of the these in either raw or graded form.

Not to mention SAEs, and some modern commems. All the GAE & classic Commems are my registry sets.

....maybe it's broadest focus and not worst focus.

    Steve27, I like that. image

Count me. I'm collecting all US coins. I don't discriminate! I like them all equally, modern or classic. A coin's a coin. It just may be years, decades, or never, by the time I finish with just the late 20th century (which right now is the easiest and most affordable for me to collect). Right now my focus is on 1965-1998.

    Jaime,

That link goes to your 1968-Present set.
GREAT start! Here's my 1968-Present set.
More quantity than quality, but it works for me.
