This is a little different. You have challenges to meet and can eventually wotk your way up to the majors:

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

I've made it to little league, but I'm now faced with the sad reality that I only have warning track power.
EDIT: I just made it to the Majors

Skinpinch,
There is a little bit of difference in the free round vs the original. In the original, after every out, you loose half of your points. In the free round, you never loose half of your points. You loose so much for every strike (250 pts, I think), and you loose so much for every fly out (1000 pts, I think). Also, I don't think you get an extra ball for every home run. You do, however, get an extra ball on the LAST ball every time you hit a home run.

I got 42,773 and made the leaderboard.
thanks for the site cures boredon for an hour.
On my journey to complete the task to the end, do you know what task gave me the hardest time???
The second one in the sandlot! The one where you have to go ten pitches without making an out or a strike! This level took the most tries for me to pass out of all of them. I got 20,000 points at MLB level on my second try, and I won the World Series on my first try, but I kept making an out in the sandlot second level!
If you are that close, you will make it.
And now when I go back to do the 20,000 again, I may go five games in a row without doing it.

I was getting into a real big rut about lining out to those little buggers. Finally, I made an adjustment and started with my bat just a hair lower and I started popping them over their heads for HR's. The most I have gotten is 29,983.

Funny you mention that - I can't get past that level! I think I got 8 or 9 in row several times, and always swing and miss near the end. I want to get past this little league level!
But nooooooooooooo, you just had to bump this thread and suck me back in.
Dam you
Collecting 1970s Topps baseball wax, rack and cello packs, as well as PCGS graded Half Cents, Large Cents, Two Cent pieces and Three Cent Silver pieces.
Getting the 20K was very tough.
Got lucky and hit 2 homeruns through those 2X's to finally do it.
Level 10 - trying to score 8 runs is fun. You have to hit 'em where they ain't ...

This game at times gets me more frustrated than golf.

I swing and miss a lot, but it pays off. I am probably better at this game as opposed to the first version...because I ALWAYS made an untimely out to knock me ridiculously down from 60k to 30k. I almost threw my computer out the window with that game.
I like this game where the outs don't kill you as much.
i had you a bit more cerebral....

<< <i>I played 40-50 games today and stil wasn't able to reach 20,000 Whats the secret? >>
BULL$HIT LUCK!
If your mindset is to pull, then it will be tough. I have still not found the timing to come anywhere close to consistently pulling a home run. Almost all my HR are to center...and for some reason I 'forgot' how to hit them to right.
Perkdog....now you can yell at the screen every time you try and beat your best score .
