PSA OC?

If a card is centered on the front but 80/20 oc on the back will it receive an OC grade?

Look under their grading standards section and it explains quite clearly the minimum centering requirements for each grade in order to get the full no qualifier grade.

It depends on the grader. More senior graders will be a little laxed with the back of the card, but the newer graders won't. I actually had an invoice pop once with a few PSA 9MC...........PSA re-evaluated and assigned it the appropriate grade before I picked up the cards

  • Is it a vintage card you are referring to? I have submitted many vintage cards with oc backs worse than 80/20 and never been given an OC qualifier for that. This card, for example, was a PSA 10:

Yes, can we see the front? And on the OC topic, different grades have different card back centering standards. Most get away with 90/10 I believe.

Thanks. I also sent in a 66 Koufax (got a PSA 8) that has about 98/2 centering on the reverse.

I guess it depends on which grader you get...

I would have bet someone $500 cash that this would never received a qualifier.

geez. You got the OC because of the front?!? That's pretty strict.
  • to answer the original question, no. you should not get a qualifier for 80-20 on the back. The 89 Fleer error card seems OC t/b assuming you measure from the top of the Orioles logo and the lowest point of the orange stripe on the bottom. that seems like the only way you could measure centering on that card but I am guessing.
