Lighten up Francis! Did not think you guys would take this so seriously!

I usually pull for the Phillies -- I was so pissed when Carter hit the HR for the friggin' foreigner Blue Jays and thier fake-o stadium. Here's to a Mets collapse and a division title! imageimageimage

No problem - Smack talk in good humor and taste is more than acceptable to me, and I enjoy it. It appears that possibly even Axtell has finally realized that, and not to take anything here personally - it's all for fun and entertainment.

That being said...YES, HERE'S TO A METS COLLAPSE, AND A CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE PHILLIES! image

Hey! Don't confuse the Red Sox with the Cubs (or even the White Sox). The Sox were on the losing end of some of greatest World Series in baseball history! (1946, 1967, 1975) image

Hey I'm a Yankees fan in addition to the Phils, even though I live six miles from the Red Sox FL training facility. I can almost see the Twins camp from my house, it's so close.

So despite the good humored smack we may not agree much. image

Did you win that non refractor/ "Don't Ask Don't Tell" refractor Aikman yet? image

BTW - I had a dog in the early 90s that I trained to growl when she heard the name Troy Aikman. You should have seen what she did when someone said Tom Landry. That was a little earlier of course.

In my profession we have what are called "burn bags," when shredding just isn't enough. We also have a "pulping" process that reverts paper products to a previous state. image

I'll send you the ashes/pulp when the collection is complete. Tonya won't have a problem with it taking up too much space. Would you like paper or plastic, or perhaps a decorative urn? image

    Done!

BTW, are there any teams with 10,000 WINS yet?

    It made our sports headline.

    Seriously, top of the newspaper.

I'll scan it and post later tonight.

  • What's the big deal about 10k losses? It's not as if there was another team with 9999 losses, and that the 10,000th philly loss put them over the top. They've been the team with the most losses for awhile.

But I wouldn't call them 'first in failure'...they have a lifetime .468 winning percentage, which isn't close to the worst all time (tampa bay's .397 holds that distinction).

Maybe it's payback for the '80 series image
