PSA Seeks Card Graders

Hello All,

A few months ago, I reached out to the boards for prospective PSA card graders. I received a ton of responses and, even though we did hire one new grader already, PSA is hoping to add more.

Business is very healthy right now and PSA is looking for new, qualified candidates. There are a few keys to remember about the position. The position requires that the person work at our Santa Ana location. The candidates are also required to test-grade in order to make sure they possess the requisite skill set for the job.

I would also consider candidates that have either vintage or modern card expertise, or a blend of both.

I appreciate all the interest shown so far and, if you think you have what it takes and would like to become a part of our team, please email me directly at joe@collectors.com.

Thanks again for your continued support of our brand,

Joe Orlando
President

I would love to work for PSA and I would love to live in Southern California, but, I wouldn't be able to submit to PSA anymore (for obvious reasons). So because I love graded cards so much, I could never give that up. That stinks because I know I would make a good modern grader.

Probably the same holds true for 95% of the people on these boards.

I am not sure if you would see this here, and I will copy it in an email to you, but I wanted to comment about PSA hiring graders.

Would it be a possibility of PSA hiring a grader or two on the east coast?

I think this could help PSA drastically with turn around times for people sending in their cards from the east coast of the country.

Just wanted to put that out there.

i dont see how having a grader or two on the east coast will speed things up. how are the cards going to be slabbed?? would you have to ship them back to CA to be slabbed and then shipped out again??? dont see how that speeds things up. second i am sure PSA would not want their slabbing machines and labels out of their watchfull eyes. that could be worse than someone resealing packs.

Opening a smaller branch office in the Midwest for overflow grading could be a solid decision. During heavy specials where PSA gets backlogged, these cards could be mailed here and graded and slabbed. It could be run by less than 10 people. Obviously they would all be trained at PSA in Cali. to make sure the same grading standards apply.

I would guess that insurance and security costs are a factor in keeping everything under one roof

esp. in one of the highest cost zip codes in the country. If PSA wants to streamline operations, move away from California and the ocean.

    Hello Memphis!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

I'm sure that most people would rather jump into the ocean than move to Memphis image
