Picked Up a Very Well-Struck and Lustrous 1891-P Morgan Dollar

StuartStuart Posts: 9,831 ✭✭✭✭✭
I recently purchased this very well-struck and lustrous 1891-P Morgan Dollar, a date that can be tough to find with both of these desireable characteristics.

How do you like her??

  • Very nice! I especially like the luster, neither of my '91s is even close. A 64?

Very nice looking for an 1891P. That coin has great luster.

Stuart, a nice piece and for the reasons you stated. I'm thinking this is a 65, but won't know for sure unless you tell us! <Smile>

You don't say how you came about obtaining this ultimate coin. Because coins like this jump/stand out at you, are above most coins in quality. I don't believe it was just sitting in a display case where a lot of people saw the coin and passed it up. Coins of this sort are usually held back out of view for serious collectors/buyers.

Am I right? What do I win?
