41GoudeyGuy.......Update re: 1951 Topps Teams request

Greetings folks!
It's been a while since I've signed on, but I've got a question I just can't seem to find any info about:
I have several 1951 Topps Teams cards, both dated and undated. And all of them, regardless of date or not, have a reverse that is facing the same direction as the front of the card. In other words, the top of the front of the card is the same as the top of the back of the card.....if the players aren't upside down, the writing will also not be upside if you look at the back. The front and back are the same like that on every one I have..........EXCEPT the 1950 Chicago White Sox card. The back top of the back is OPPOSITE the top of the front. They aren't facing the same way.
I'm wondering if anyone can confirm with me that this is normal for the White Sox 1951 Topps Team card. I only have the dated version, so I'm not sure if it's just the dated that would be like this or not.
If anyone has one they can check, or anyone knows anything about this, please let me know. I sure would appreciate it.
Jeff

Hey 41GoudeyGuy:
can help you with one of those that you need. I have like 7 of the '51 Topps Teams that I had planned on listing on ebay within the next month. One of them is the Phillies card........There's no date, but it does say "National League Champions Philadelphia Phillies" rather than just the usual team name.
The grade on the card is poor....due to what is pretty literally a single flaw. The corners are almost sharp, the picture is perfect, the borders are bright yellow, the back is bright white.....really a striking card.....Except........there is tape on the back running vertically across what is either a rip or a heavy crease (afraid to try to find out which) right in the middle of the card when it was likely once folded in half. The front isn't taped at all....just the back.
I'm not sure how to email you directly, but if you send me your email, I can send you a picture if you're interested. The card was to be sold as part of my back to school collection-unloading on ebay, so I'm really not interested in trades or anything, nor am I building this set. (Now, the 1951 Topps Current (or Major League) All Stars are a different story altogether....I want all of those.) Just let me know, and maybe I can get you one step closer.
Jeff
I'm intersted. It should fit in well with my set of PSA 1's. I've got 1-2 extra Connie Mack All-Stars but not with me. They are probably one or both of the Collins cards but I'll have to check that out tomorrow night. You can e-mail me a scan at brian_coats@comcast.net.
