great Babe Ruth autograph find

I purchased a lot of vintage 1930's and 1940's scorecards on Ebay a couple weeks ago.

Inside the book "Who's Who in Baseball" from 1938 on page 4 Babe Ruth signed the top right corner.

The autograph is clear and stunning having been preserved in the book for 70 years. My heart is still beating fast.

Once in a while you can still get "lucky" on Ebay.

So you purchased a signature book with a Babe Ruth auto, with others, on eBay for only $200?

    Please tell more.

Once I was all excited thinking I bought a book with a clemente auto, just to find out they all had the same clemente auto. Blue ink when all other print was black really got me going.

Beatles White Album or Eric Clapton?

Once upon a time I had a limited edition Clapton EP of "Layla" and "Cocaine" on white vinyl.

Joking or for real? That is pretty funny.

I bought a pair of shorts the other day and i felt something in the pocket that felt like a little plastic baggie of some substance. I was almost afraid to look, when I pulled the bag out- bam that hard stuff....thats right sunflower seeds.

I bought a mounted deer head once and when I went to package it pumpkin seeds and loose foam fell out of his ear. Some rodent was living in the deers head.

Very nice but why the edit in your original post?

You can understand why your actions made us skeptical...

A once in a lifetime purchase for me really. I'm pretty fortunate the seller had absolutely no knowledge of the history of baseball.

You done real good. My biggest excitement was once finding a softball on a flea market table that had been auto'ed by Tug McGraw. Ain't likely I'll ever find a Ruth, but as Tug would say, "you gotta believe"...

Thanks so much for this opportunity. I have always dreamed of owning a Ruth auto. image

very nice find. I once bought a bunch of Packer cards and there was a Bart Starr auto on a Swell card. Neat, but not this neat.

I also once found a credit card receipt from a Troy Built rider signed "THE LAWNMOWER MAN"
