Out of the Hobby for 15 Years

I really quit collecting about 15 years ago when it seemed like a new series or card company was starting almost every day. Well I'm getting ready to move and am having to load up thousands of late 80's and early 90's cards. Just wondering if there is any value there. Are the '91 and '93 Bowman wax boxes any good. What about the Chipper Jones '91 UD rookie?

Unless by thousands of cards you mean several hundred thousand cards, pack them up, move them and forget about them for another 15 years.

These guys are right. They don't have a lot of value. You may be better off donating the cards for a tax write off. The unopened boxes always sell for some dollar but who knows what you will make.

You got any football in that lot or just baseball?

I think once we get past this next Ice Age those cards could have some value.

You left the hobby at about the same time I did. I "returned" to the hobby back in '04 and even then, only on a limited basis.

Unfortunately, except for an extremely short list of exceptions, most of the stuff drom the late 80's to mid 90's are pure junk from a monetary stand point.
