and you thought ebay was bad!

Almost don't have the words for this one!

Seattle Mariners baseball with 8 real signatures. This is a baseball that has seen action! Randy Johnson, Alex Rodriquez, Ken Griffey Jr., Edgar Martinez and more that I can’t read, but would know if I was a baseball fan. Could this be from one of the games during the World Series????? The hand painted bobble head doll is Edgar Martinez, still in the original package.

I don't think I've ever seen a more uneducated (or more dishonest) auction seller.

The city of Seattle has a big "recycling" culture. Fashion among the young grungies up there is called Thrift Shop chic. The Goodwill Stores there are some of the largest, cleanest and well stocked that I have ever been to. The Tacoma Goodwill store is one of the biggest, I do believe it's the central hub for the smaller stores around the area. It's actually worth stopping by every time I visit Seattle and highly recommended if you are in the area and like treasure hunting.

I am 99.9% positive there is no intent to deceive here. One thing Jim may have right is the uneducated part. Remember that Goodwill Stores are basically places where people who have had problems in their lives, maybe drugs, maybe alcohol, have no marketable job skills and they are basically providing job training for future WalMart employees. The web store is probably a new venture, and the person doing the listings is likewise probably 100% clueless about what they are listing there - just given a pile of crap and instructed to write snappy descriptions. That being said, someone at GW SHOULD be overseeing and smart enough to know tha ball isn't anything worthwhile.

However, I strongly doubt any intent to defraud intentionally.

the last thing I bought was a new in the original wrapper corvette model from the 60s. It was an astro-vette and is kind of rare. I bought it for $31 counting shipping, sold it on ebay for $270 plus shipping.

Sometimes there are deals if you go looking, but you have to watch out for the crap, same as ebay.

I believe that, but they seem so educated about some of their other listings. I just thought it was a funny auction. image

Well, Seattle was American League Runner-Up in 1995, 1997, and 2001, but nope, no World Series apperances yet.
