Surprising Price for a 1977 Burger King Nettles PSA 9

I was shocked at the price that this 4SC auction got. I bought mine from them less than 30 days ago for $26 and I thought that was high. Population report has 8 of them graded at PSA 9.

Wow, that is very high. I just bought one from a friend for $20, that price is just amazing.

Well, all it takes is 2 people to set snipes for really high amounts and have them hit. I saw a Willie Mays exhibits card sell for >$500 last month...well, maybe 2 months ago now. Seems like 2 people thought about dropping in a super high snipe to win it, not thinking that someone else would do the same...

If you look at the bidding history for that auction, you'll see that onlt 2 bidders were willing to pay over $35 for that card. A seller's delight, right there.

I used to collect that set and I could pick up common PSA 9's for like $10. Granted though, BK cards are extremely tough to get high grades on so I guess I could see that price. Based on the difficulty, I would say that most BK PSA 9's should sell for the $20-$30 range.
