71 pete rose (ebay)

well about 2 weeks ago i bought a 71 pete rose card off ebay. well like that day a guy emailed me and told me that he had just bought the card and it was colored in. so i kinda got pissed and emailed the guy i was in process of buying from. so this guy gewts directly defensive,because i asked a question. he told me we could cancel the transaction. well he has a return policy and the other guy returned the card. so i asked the guy who sold it to me if he was sending the colored in card to me, well he said that this was a different card. so i told him i would take his word.

today i got the card,4 shard edges off center a touch,nice pack fresh gloss, but it is not the one in the auction picture. it had nice border and was colored in. so do you guys think i should call him out on this one or does it sound like a good card i paid $32 fror it.i wish i could scan it. this card is great except thecentering and the borders well you know its a 71 card, the black is a lilttle gone. not as bad as i have seen for alot more money. thanks for any opions. don

If you don't like it I would just list it, as is, on Ebay and recoup your $$ that way.

You can get into a quixotic mission to rid Ebay of all sleazy sellers, but you're never going to do it-- or even cut into their ranks--so you might as well do the next best thing, which is take the route that makes your life as easy as possible. And that route, in my mind, does not involve sending the card back, sweating a refund, exchanging tense emails with the seller, yada yada yada.

i guess thaat makes sense. it is a prob a nrmint card just the borders and a little off center. maybe i will just send it in to be graded?

another question: how long does it take the psa, if you request to add cards to a set? it says to try back in 1 bus day but i have and nothing has changed and i also did a request.
don
