sorry but i have to vent on this ebayer...

i like the orioles so i pick up 2 tiffany sets (88-89) for .99 cents, the shipping is 5.65 but i figured i'm getting 2 sets and since i would pay 3.00 each for them seperatly it's ok. i always include the shipping into my final price. i pay through paypal and receive the cards yesterday, postage due another 1.40, i wasn't sure what it was so i paid for it, i could have said send it back and make him pay for it, but i said there here i'll take them. so i email the guy and tell him they came postage due, he emails me and says does that mean i owe him 1.40??? the guys got over 1000 feedback??? so i explain the postage due process. he says he put the proper postage on the package and that the post office is a bunch of crooks. i tell him i have the package and that it says postage for 1 ounce. he begrudgingly offers paypal and i told him i don't usually use paypal for receiving money so i said do you have any other orioles or just send me the money or just send a buck and we'll call it even. he said he would send the money and to please leave feedback to which i replied i usually leave feedback at the end of a transaction. he's replies he didn't make any money on the cards and he can't believe that the dollar means that much to me. now i lose it because for my 5.65 shipping plus 1.40 more (now over 7.00 shipping for a .99 auction) i received the cards wrapped in paper towel and in a plain yellow envelope not even a bubblemailer, what is that .25 tops and he puts postage on it for up to 1 ounce??? his profit on the shipping is almost 7 times what the auction went for!!! so then i informed him to forget about the buck, i'll chalk it up to a lesson learned, i only mentioned it to him because of the initial shipping cost and he was the seller. i left positive feedback because i'm sure he would give me a negative for paying within an hour and then paying 7.00 for postage.

it burns me because i try to keep my shipping down and make sure the package is wrapped up properly for buyers, then you run into this. i'm not having a goodcouple of months or so trying to buy cards..

thanks for letting me vent.
Fred

    Good for you.
  • Please post his id. Need to add him to my don't buy from list.
Next MONTH? So he's saying that if he wins, the best-case scenario is that he'll be paying for it two weeks after the auction ends?

Reason #137 why you should have separate buying and selling id's.

The REASON idiots like him get away with that shiz is because of people who are afraid to leave negatives when deserved! SO WHAT if he leaves a retallitory neg? Smart people can see thru that.

Was it the name brand pick a size paper towels or the cheap generic ones? Kidding of course. It seems that sellers here recently don't have respect at all for their auction winners cards. It's getting rediculous.

the seller's id is rcpacks, i didn't want to state his name without him leaving feedback, of course i had to send him a message asking for him to leave feedback. llike i said he has a thousand feedback but i did notice under his individual feedback the shipping star is not full of positive feedback.

to my knowledge they were generic but sturdy paper towel

i actually did include the paper towel price in the .25 cents it broke down this way, plain yellow envelope .14, 2 piece of common paper towel .10, postage due 1.40, i forgot to add what looked like a used plastic baggie .01

  • Fred, make a new ID, bid on all his auctions, and dont pay for anything, and neg them all.

Then when that ID gets suspended all the FB will be removed and his real account will be suspended as well. Malicious feedback is removeable.

i wouldn't even want to take the time to do that, i don't think he's worth it...

i have 1 negative, it was my fault i forgot to pay for the item within like 5-7 days and i had a negative, i apoligized and offered to pay, the guy agreed but we never finished the transaction and his account was suspended within 2 weeks, so i think i may have made out by not paying that one, but his neg. has never been taken off of my account.

I was an only bidder on two auctions early last year. It was $7.99 + $4.00 shipping each. I asked the seller if he combined shipping , He replied NO. He then added that insurance plus delivery confirmation was manditory. Oh yea , no paypal. I went along with it all, as I wanted the cards.

Over 3 weeks later and many emails, I received 2 cards in a white envelope. No tissue, no insurance, no delivery confirmation. I emailed him back and told him, I needed some money back. "you got your cards didn't you ? was his reply. What a dikkkkkk.

Oddly enough I've had, I believe 6 other times that additional postal expenses were never added, just pocketed by the seller. All have been non-paypal .

Good, so the seller is fantastic and I wouldn't have a problem buying from him in the future. Great seller! Thank you for posting this uplifting story!

  • individual feedback the shipping star is not full of positive feedback

What seller does have a good 5 here though.. I have seen sellers who offer free shipping with 4.0 to 4.5 on shipping charges.
