OT- Could this week get any worse?

First my car throws a rod, then I get sick for 3 days. Then this morning one of my best friends from High School and Bowie County Sheriff's Deputy Michael Page was killed in the line of duty. The man who did it later committed suicide.

I just read the story about Deputy Page. I don't know what to say with the exception of offering my condolences to his family and friends. He is in a better place and maybe we can take some solace knowing that. Best wishes to Deputy Michael Page's family and friends.

Police, fire fighters, and soldiers are, by and large, a special breed and I am always saddened when we lose one of them in the line of duty. My thoughts are with all who knew Deputy Page in this difficult time. Rest in peace and thank you for your service, Deputy Page.

Honestly I thought my week was bad, I just talked to my BIL who is a Bowie County Deputy and I think his was worse. Last Sunday he was one of the ones who had to deal with 3 young children getting killed in a house fire and then Friday night he was suppoused to work but traded shifts with Michael Page, so he is taking it really hard.
