Numismatic Rarities Certainty Act is back

Numismatic Rarities Certainty Act of 2007

I don't think anyone here posted this when it happened on 6/14/07. I don't see what is different from the one Representative Lucas introduced last year, but I figured I would post it anyway.

I don't like it. Why should the 1933 Saint or (if it exists) 1964-D Peace Dollar be treated differently than some of the fantasy patterns of the 1800s, or the 1913 V nickel, or hell, the 1804 Dollar and 1884/85 Trade Dollars for that matter?
  • I'm not sure I like Sec 5123 (E) (ii) Under that the Secretary can decide "Well we have a hundred of these and we only need ten, so put ten of the surplus up for sale and melt down the other eighty."
