Gonna send in a last minute submission. Need some help deciding which year.......

I've decided to send in a last minute submission to take advantage of the special, but I'm only going to send in one year. Help me choose, boys. Here are the choices:

1) 1961: I've got about 100 of these in NM or better, including some highs. Doubtful any are 9 candidates.

2) 1962: Have about 75 or so of these, probably split equally between 7 and 8 candidates. Maybe a slider 9 or two.

3) 1967: Absolutely blazing cards, app. 70 of them. Including Banks, Marichal, and McCovey.

4) 1970: Only about 20-25 of these, but all of them are from vending and would not be surprised if there's a 10 candidate in there.

I'm only going to send in 20-25 cards, so I'm leaning towards the 70's because I can send them all. But I'm curious to hear what y'all would do.

Thanks,

Ron

    I would send all the 70's then, and toss in the stars and decent to better rookies of the others that are 7 to 8's as well. I know that puts you over your limit, but that's what I would do.
  • If the 1970's are that nice, send those in. However, at $5 a pop I would seriously consider sending in a bunch more especially the '67 stars and the '61 high #'s. any of these cards grading close to what you are thinking would definitely be worth the money.

    As i have a large quantity of 62's (commons) , i would like to see how you fare on yours as a indicator.

    My last sub i sent 6 of them in and got back 4 7's and 2 8's.

    Well, since I had the whole day to think about it, I went hog wild and sent in the following:

    1) 12 of my best 61's;

    2) 38 of the best 67's;

    3) 10 of the best 70's;

    4) 10 of the best 71's I had.

    I chose not to send in any 62's because I thought most were in the 6-7 range instead of 7-8.

    Thanks for the feedback!

    Send in some more 57's that you coud sell meimage. Sending in the best of each issue is a bad idea. I feel that doing that brings down the grades of the tougher issues. I once sent some tough 55 Bowmans in with some 56 and 57 and they got blasted. I sent in the less batch of 55B seperate and they graded alot better. I have alot better luck sticking with one year at a time.

    I would love to hear if others feel this way as well or if I am just crazy.

    Ah - two points. I do have more '57's that are waiting to be sent in. image With regard to your point about sending in the best of each issue, I actually agree and as a result I sent these on separate submission forms (except for the 70 and 71's which I grouped together). I even boxed and shipped them separately.
