Bank visit - any interesting finds??
I went to my bank yesterday and inquired if they had any 50 cent rolls. I figured I could weed through them in my spare time. The teller told me the bank didn't but asked if I wanted to buy some dollar coins. I thought she meant either Washington or Adams dollars but she returned with 10 morgan and 4 peace dollars. I quickly gave her $14 and left with my exchange....all common dates but a pretty good deal none the less - this NEVER happens to me.
I was wondering what similar experiences there are out there.

More recently, I was surprised when during a trip up to Las Vegas a couple of years ago, I was playing my normal high roller nickel slots and found a surprising number of silver war nickels. I would have thought that someone had either been ripped off or was just hard up for nickels but it happened at a number of different machines at several different casinos. My wife did not understand my excitement. On a subsequent trip last summer, I was VERY disappointed to find that the slot machines in Vegas no longer take or pay out in coins, that to me was always half the fun. I'm sure they figure they get your $$$ faster and it's less wear and tear on the machines.
<< <i>Nice teller,,,,,what do you do for her? Wow, I'd be a steady customer and may find out what

Believe me...I got that covered!
Apparently someone brought the coins in, the tellers bought a couple, and the rest were sitting in a drawer. I made sure that they will keep me in mind if anything else comes in.
You should have immediately purchased a power ball ticket!
